If you’ve admired the Raptor and TRX but are a diehard bowtie guy, the Chevy Silverado Fox Factory might be the perfect solution. Instead of buying a brand new truck and building it into an off-road beast by yourself, you’re getting a turn-key build with all the right specs to go have fun, just like your Ford and Ram buddies.
Or maybe you could get this modified Raptor instead?
That said, the price of admission for this Chevy is high. We found one on Facebook Marketplace in Las Vegas, Nevada listed for a cool $209,999. You might think that’s a huge jump from the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 and you’d be right, because MSRP for that truck is upwards of $80,000.

But you need to understand what’s special about the Silverado Fox Factory before just automatically shooting down the idea. Unless you just can’t afford it, then by all means dismiss this truck as overpriced and move on with your life.
First off, the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 has a twin-screw Whipple supercharger added, boosting output to a peak 700-horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque. You also benefit from an Ultimate Dana 60 rear axle, ARB air locker, free-flowing Borla exhaust, and RCV CV axles.
But wait, there’s more.
As you’ve probably guessed, since the truck was built by Fox is has quite the suspension setup. More specifically, it has Fox live valve, electronically controlled shocks you can tune on the fly using a phone app. Up front are double A-arm coilovers and Fox bump stops, while in the rear are 5-link trailing arms, plus coilovers and Fox bump stops. The setup is good for an impressive 14.5 inches of travel in the front and 15.5 inches of travel in the rear.

Fox also adds 37-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires with CoreGard sidewall tech, mounted on Method Fox Factory Edition 17-inch wheels featuring a patented Bead Grip design instead of a beadlock.
You’ll also note the body looks different than a standard 2024 Silverado. That’s because Fox has added some carbon-fiber panels, helping to lighten the load some. The front and rear bumpers, plus front skid plate are designed to take a lot of abuse, too.
Try building something like this and you’ll drop a lot of money, maybe more than what this truck costs out the door. But would you pull the trigger on this or just go with something else?
