Usually, a 1967 Chevy C10 with a different color on each body panel isn’t something too impressive. Sure, you might look at the old truck and think it would make for a cool restoration project, but nobody glances at something like that and believes it’s a 1,200-horsepower tire-slaying beast. That’s partly what makes this build so amazing.
This is the baddest Buick Grand National.
The creator, Lucky, has been building hotrods for a long time. He doesn’t care too much for flashy aesthetics, obviously, emphasizing instead what’s out of sight on his vehicles. Under the blemished hood is a beautiful all-aluminum LS3 V8 with Trick Flow heads and a 2300 Magnuson supercharger. The whole setup is built to handle 1,200-hp, which is a lot for a C10.
Bolted up to the engine a 4LE Stage Four transmission that’s supposedly unbreakable, but they guy says he’s tried his hardest to prove that wrong, unsuccessfully.
There’s also a Hooker exhaust the owner says is “a little loud” but we hear just in the intro it bellows like a demon.
Underneath is a QA1 suspension in the front and rear. There’s also HPI frame reinforcements, adding the torsional rigidity to handle all that power, including helping to prevent squat under hard acceleration. Among the other mods are Baer breaks, because having a rip roaring engine is a liability if you don’t also have good stopping power.
What’s also funny about this build is the guy kept the interior the same as it was when he bought it. It’s pretty much just factory equipment in the cab, including the red cloth seats. The contrast between that and everything done under the hood and in the chassis is crazy.
Check out the video to see this truck in action – it’s a real treat.
