While people are shocked Shaq is selling off a bunch of his cars, including some Hellcats, the man says he’s never giving up his convertible Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody. After all, it’s apparently the only one in existence in the US, something the retired basketball player proudly declared while showing it off to the guys from Effortless Motors.
Learn why Shaq dumped his Tesla Cybertrucks so fast.
What Shaq wants is to make the drop-top Mopar kitty more livable for him. Since he’s so tall at 7’1” he doesn’t fit in a lot of vehicles. In this case, with the seat all the way back he’s a little squished, so he wants Effortless to modify the seat and give him just a little bit more room.
You can tell in the footage Shaq loves the “old school convertible” with its manual clips and cloth top. We’d say he wants to feel the wind in his hair, but the man has opted for a more efficient way in life.
There are a few things he wants fixed and tightened up on the custom Hellcat. We imagine he also wants some customizations done to the convertible muscle car. Curiously, nothing is said in the video about increasing power or touching the performance side of things.
He does, however, warn the Effortless Motor guys to not cruise around Los Angeles in his Mopar. Shaq must know what a temptation that is for anyone.
In the video of Shaq going through with Effortless Motors what he wants changed about the car, he mentions wanting the “yellow stripe” removed from the front end. What the big man was referring to is the splitter guard, which is yellow.
Some guys leave those on as a type of fashion statement. But apparently guys like Shaq leave it on because they don’t realize it can just be popped off.
