Like a lot of gearheads, we’re always fans of a well-built ’66 Nova like this one. Called the Slick 66, it not only has a bit of a modern look, what’s under the hood is not of the 60s. Built for extreme power and speed, as well as looking cool cruising through town, the Chevy is amazing to behold.
The Cha Cha Nova sells for a shockingly high price.
This Nova wears “Slick 66” badges, which is a nice little detail to the very clean build. Put together by Driven Speed Shop out of Arizona, with the help of some other shops for the interior and paint/body, it’s a masterpiece build anyone, even normies who don’t like cars, can admire.
Getting this Nova rumbling is a supercharged LS7 V8, bringing with it not only power but modern reliability. It’s a built motor and is tuned to produce 715-horsepower on 91 octane fuel. Sure, they could’ve easily dialed things up a lot further, but this build isn’t for drag racing but instead is meant to be enjoyed cruising around town.
That’s why a lot of effort went into making sure the wheels are tucked just so, the exterior looks as clean and smooth as possible, and the interior is both comfortable as well as functional. It’s something you can take to a show and turn plenty of heads, especially once you pop the hood.
Underneath is a Roadster Shop Fast Track IRS chassis, it has manual brakes for superior control. We hope the owner is actually driving this Nova instead of just letting it sit in a garage like some museum piece.
The build has understandably attracted plenty of attention and accolades. Not only has it been featured on YouTube channel Autotopia LA, it was a Goodguys 2025 Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist.
