Usually when you see a barn find car like this C3 Corvette that’s absolutely filthy, it’s also pretty trashed under all that dirt. While the 1982 Collector’s Edition Corvette might look bad, it’s actually in great condition. All the American sports car really needs is a good detailing.
This barn find C3 Corvette has a criminal history.
The reason for that is simple: there are only 33 miles on the thing. For that little to be on a car, someone had to buy it brand new, drove it home, and maybe took it for another spin or two. Actually, the owner said in this case the Corvette was just driven home and put into the garage.
These days when someone does that, they park the vehicle in a preservation bubble inside a temperature controlled garage and guard it against any contamination. Well, that’s what rich people do.

We’re not sure what more average collectors are doing with their new rides they just park because those people usually are pretty guarded about letting anyone know they even own such a thing.
Anyway, this ‘Vette was kept in a garage that looks like a barn along with two other C3s for over 40 years. The guys at WD Detailing did a video for each sports car, saving the best and lowest-mileage example for last.
While the exterior is filthy, the temporary tag for the Chevy is still attached. When the detailers open the door, you can see the interior is absolutely perfect. We know what happens to GM cars of this vintage when they sit in the sun just some of the time, so there’s no way this thing has spent significant time outdoors.

The end result is nothing short of breathtaking. While we recommend at least putting a cover on your car before garaging it for over four decades, this one cleaned up fantastically.
