Actor Ashton Kutcher suffered a bit of embarrassment when his 1957 Chevy Corvette broke down while he was tooling around recently. Fortunately, some guys jumped in to help the celebrity push his classic American sports car to the side of the road.
A barn find 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 hides quite the secret.
Now we know what you’re thinking: once Kutcher got his C1 Corvette to the side of the road he called AAA or whatever roadside service rich people use to rescue him. But that isn’t at all what happened.
Instead, according to our favorite news outlet TMZ, as Kutcher sat with the classic ‘Vette on the side of the road in Sherman Oaks, California, the actor apparently was able to start the ‘Vette again after sitting on the side of the road for a few minutes.
Proving that he’s more than just a pretty face, Kutcher was able to successfully diagnose and remedy the issue with his ride, going on his way in short order. For those of us who have owned classics, we know this sort of thing is just par for the course, but how many Hollywood actors do you think could even change a flat tire?
If we had to guess, we’d say this isn’t the first time Kutcher has had to deal with whatever issue caused his classic car to stall out. He obviously knows the vehicle well enough to remedy the issue without any drama, which again is impressive.
We’ve see actors and other celebrities who clearly have no idea how their ride works, let alone able to fix even a simple problem without calling for help. Of course, Kutcher is a bit of a gearhead, having appeared on Jay Leno’s Garage with his classic Porsche 911.
Kutcher also reportedly owns a ’66 Impala SS, so he has a soft spot for classic Chevrolets. The man also seems to gravitate toward both classic and modern European performance cars.
