You’ve probably seen properties with classic cars just sitting out in the open before, usually somewhere in the countryside where that sort of thing is acceptable. However, this place located somewhere in the South is unbelievable. The cars just keep going, many of them old Mopars, and it has a lot of people talking.
Decide if this classic Camaro is a hidden gem or something else.
After all, some believe hoarding classic vehicles like this is irresponsible or selfish. They seem to feel people who have amassed more cars than they can manage should give them away like some sort of automotive Robin Hood or otherwise dispense of them.
But if you watch the video tour, you learn how this guy, named Joey, amassed such a huge collection of old vehicles. He jokes that when he graduated from high school back in the day, his father told him by the time he was 40 he should have 200 cars stashed. The idea was to hold onto the rides until the guy turns 65, then sell them as some sort of retirement investment.
Is he being serious or is this just a funny story he tells people? It might be a mixture of the two, to be honest. He also says his dad told him to avoid smoking, drinking, and women but the fact he did skip two out of three “isn’t bad.”
A lot of the cars on the guy’s property are original, although they not only wear a little patina but might have some damage or be missing parts. Still, the collection is a veritable treasure trove of project rides which could make hundreds of enthusiasts rather happy.
When asked if any of the vehicles are for sale, Joey laughs and says some might be. In other words, if you’re interested you might want to pursue and see what kind of a deal you might work out. Backyard Barn Finds says you can email them at info@backyardbarnfinds.com.
