Young Influencer Crashes His McLaren While On His Phone

20-year-old influencer (that’s code for unemployed trust fund kid) Jack Doherty has been banned from social media platform Kick after crashing his $200,000 McLaren while using his phone. The stupid, senseless stunt was captured during a livestream posted to Kick with many people immediately and justly criticizing the kid’s behavior.

Ben Affleck’s all-electric Ford Bronco broke down, stranding him.

While his buddy filmed from the passenger seat, Doherty can be seen “driving” his McLaren with one hand, the other holding his precious phone. He’s blasting down a highway while it’s raining, the pavement completely soaked, when suddenly the supercar hydroplanes and he immediately yells, “No, no, no!” before impacting a barrier at speed.

By this point we don’t know what to do with people who still think they can surf the internet or update their social media status while driving down the road. It’s even dumbed to do that while driving a supercar in the rain, but money can’t buy intelligence

One of the big concerns is Doherty’s followers might mimic his behavior. We’ve got news for anyone worrying about that: if they’re watching Doherty and other influencers on any social media platform, there isn’t a lot going on in their head. That’s even more concerning.

Of course, Doherty tried monetizing the McLaren crash in a series of videos posted after the disastrous livestream. The influencer showed off footage of him screaming for help while trapped in the supercar, plus damage done to the vehicle.

In the meantime, Doherty’s buddy or cameraman sustained a head injury and was bleeding. But the influencer insisted he keep filming all the drama, because that’s what decent human beings do.

This is hardly Doherty’s first crash. He rolled his Can-Am side-by-side back in March, hurting his arm. Last November he wrecked a golf cart his girlfriend was riding in, stirring up controversy. It’s almost like he’s trying to act like an idiot for clicks.
