Python Found In Stolen Cadillac After Takeover Bust

Police in Vallejo, California made a shocking discovery when they found a 10-foot python inside a Cadillac CTS abandoned after a street takeover pursuit. Why people at the illegal gathering, who were driving a stolen car, had the reptile with them in a mystery.

The incident went down just after 11 pm on August 23 as Vallejo Police Department and several nearby law enforcement agencies descended on the illegal gathering. As often happens at street takeovers when police arrive, everyone scattered.

Several chases ensued, one of them with the pictured old Cadillac CTS with mismatched wheels. The people in that car, which reportedly was stolen, allegedly pointed lasers at the CHP Air unit above, trying to disrupt efforts to catch their buddies.

That in turn led to cops chasing them. Considering how slow an old CTS is compared to modern police cruisers, we can imagine the pursuit wasn’t that much of a challenge for police. They caught up with the suspects in Hercules, arresting all four of them.

However, when officers checked the Caddie, they got a big surprise when they found a 10-foot python waiting inside. Cops find all kinds of crazy things in suspects’ vehicles, but snakes aren’t usually expected, so that must have been a little shocking.

However, one of the officers on the scene posed for a picture with the python draped over her shoulders, smiling at the camera. It surely was a highlight for the week, maybe the month.

Incidentally, the sideshow involved several shootings, one of them fatal, reports ABC7. Participants are the takeover also lit a ring of fire in the intersection, doing burnouts and donuts through it, all in a quest to get the coolest videos and pictures for social media. That is, after all, what fuels this trend.
