We guess New Edge Mustang SVT Cobras have become serious collectors items after seeing a 2003 listed for an eye-watering price. Let’s just say you could buy a brand new Ford Mustang GT Premium for less money, so that’s something to think about.
Or you could buy this classic Chevy Impala for the price of a McLaren.
Granted, when it comes to 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobras, this is a nice one. It has only 2,630 original miles and the thing looks brand new outside and in, so that mileage claim seems to check out.

The 10th Anniversary Edition has been kept completely bone stock without so much as an air intake or catback exhaust system installed. It’s like someone drove it for a little bit, then realized one day the pony might be worth north of $50,000, opting to garage it instead.
As you would expect, this Ford muscle car still has the factory wiper blades and tires. There aren’t any of the delivery wraps on it, butt we can’t see any blemishes in the photos uploaded to Facebook.
Not only does this vehicle have the supercharged 4.6-liter V8, it’s paired with a 6-speed manual for the proper experience. But something tells us the new owner won’t be putting many, if any, miles on this ride.

Now for the price: the seller says the SVT Cobra is being offered at $55,000. That’s a tall order, but from the listing we’re going to guess they’re firm on that amount. In fact, the listing explicitly states only “serious cash buyers” will even get an appointment to look at the Mustang.
It might as well also read, “no low ballers, I know what I have.” The person who ends up buying this ride will definitely be a believer in its collectable status. But with the collector car market showing signs of implosion, we wonder how that will play out.
