It always pains us to see a classic car like this 1968 Ford Mustang just abandoned under some junk in a garage. This pony has been sitting like that for 18 years and not only is in bad need of a professional detailing, it also has some mechanical issues.

This is where professional detailers and car YouTubers WD Detailing come in. As you might know, the famous duo will detail people’s disaster rides like this for free so they have content for their channel. But on this one they decided to go above and beyond the call of duty.
That might be thanks to the owner’s story. While he did just bury the pony car under junk, the guy has good intentions. He wants to gift the classic Mustang to his daughter for her college graduation.
We always approve of getting the younger generations into cars and it sounds like this man was effective in doing that. But his daughter has no idea the Ford is running. All she knows is it’s getting detailed and she’s excited for that.
Even though it’s been treated like a garage shelf, the Mustang is in pretty good condition. As they wash away the dirt that’s accumulated, the thing starts to shine. There are some paint imperfections, but someone could easily call those “character marks.”
When it comes to the interior, it’s also a little dirty with some dead mice hiding. But overall it’s in good shape and cleans up well enough. We think a lot of people would be proud to own a classic like this.
As far as getting the thing running again, let’s just say these two are fantastic detailers. Smartly, they call in some mechanics who quickly diagnose a fuel delivery issue and fix it. Hopefully the daughter cherishes this ride.
